Synopsis
Anita has worked at a cinema box-office for the past thirty years; now she is forced to watch that whole era being wiped out, literally, as her old cinema house is pulled down to make way for a modern multiplex. Anita herself is obliged to take early retirement because she doesn't suit the new company's image. Unable to get over the shock of it all, Anita finds herself being drawn back to her old workplace on a daily basis, although all that's left is a building site being put up by a construction firm. By chance, Anita falls in love with one of the workers on the site who drives a bulldozer. A tender affair develops between these two, and though Anita's paramour is married, nevertheless their clandestine love helps both of them raise their hopes for a better future. For Anita, it at least helps her to make a break with the past. Now at last she can begin to believe that there is indeed a life after her old existence.
