Synopsis

Flashback 30 years before the tragic events of Ring 1 and 2. Teenager Yamamura Sadako wants to be a theatre actress, and is working hard to realize her dreams. But she has many other problems to solve before this becomes a reality. The young woman, in fact, has paranormal powers. This is a pretty big dilemma, especially since she has less and less willpower to control them. Seeking help, she regularly visits Dr. Kuna, a strange ally, and the only one who knows the full extent of her gifts. It's quite a complex situation. But more so now, as one by one, the actresses in Sadako's theatre troupe start to die mysteriously. Even worse, a journalist appears who is very determined to track down Sadako and reveal the horrific truth behind the deaths. But careful, it might just be that Sadako is a victim herself of an evil presence hiding in the shadows of her life, that thrives only on evil and won't be suppressed for much longer...
