Synopsis
A look at what's really happening in our contemporary universities. In particular, the University of Sydney's music department where Professor Ann Boyd has been struggling with budget cuts and bureaucracy for a decade or more. Despite her formidable determination, her passion for music and commitment to higher education, she's reached critical mass. Forced to drop staff and courses and pick up the phone to plead for private sponsorship, she's not sure how she or her department can continue.
