Synopsis
Television movie about the murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard on October 10, 1998. The movie chronicles how Matthew's parents, Judy and Dennis Shepard came to terms with his life and concluded that their response to the murder trial of their son's killer could end the cycle of hate. Determined to use her grief to help prevent hate crimes and ensure that no parent would have to endure what she had, Judy Shepard formed a foundation in her son's name to reach out to the youth of America.
