Synopsis
A tense confrontation develops between a teenage girl and her mother's boyfriend. From the moment that Alex first meets Ned she senses trouble. After her instincts are confirmed, Alex and her younger sister Sara leave home to begin a long trek by bus to New Orleans, where they hope to find protection with their estranged father.
