Synopsis
Four friends reunite a year after college and realize that the past is a nice place to visit, but they can't live there rent-free. In order to climb out of his or her respective emotional potholes, each friend must complete a spiritual task. Sharp-dresser Alec, diagnosed with a brain tumor, decides that telling people he cares for about his condition is more difficult than keeping his terrible secret. Idealistic Sam, bent on becoming a social worker in Mexico, learns that hard work is the only way to make her dreams a reality. Bleached-blond Trevor, an aspiring actor "because it's fun," must find the courage to finish what he started. Casey has to face up to the responsibility he's eluded in his adult life. When Alec challenges the others to take control of their lives by participating in an elaborate, fatally flawed bank heist, the group learns to how to break through the childlike illusions that have been holding them back.
