Synopsis
In the 1930s, a pair of newlywed anthropologists travel to New Guinea to study the sexual habits of a group of villagers. Conflict develops between the couple when husband Phillip refuses to acknowledge the central role of women in the village's culture, while Evelyn finds herself increasingly attracted to merchant Mick Carpenter.
