Synopsis
After Ellen's mother Charlotte dies, she is left with her alcoholic father, Bill. Since Charlotte's mother Leonora and sisters Nadine and Betsy never approved of Charlotte's marriage to Bill, they neglect to see that Ellen needs their help when her father becomes abusive.
