Synopsis
At a Tokyo radio station, a woman, Miyako, has submitted the winning entry in a radio play writing contest. "A Woman of Fate" its called, a sentimental melodrama to be directed by Kudo in a calm and professional manner. However, everyone else is nervous and when the temperamental lead actress decides to change her character's name from Risuko to Mary Jane and from a house-wife to a careerist lawyer, things being to spin out of control. As the night wears on, the play turns into a disaster thriller with a breaking dam and lost spaceships, while the author freaks out and the cast struggles gamely to keep the play afloat.
