A documentary portrait of the Deadheads, the vast nomadic tribe of Grateful Dead fans who follow the band from concert to concert and coast to coast. For the first time, a film offers an inside look into a unique American phenomenon, celebrating its 30th year of immense popularity. Director Andrew Behar joined the caravan of Grateful Dead fans on their 1994 Summer Tour, covering five concert sites and several thousand miles, getting ito intimately know the followers who include among their numbers lawyers and doctors, students and computer geeks, wealthy suburbanites and the homesless, ex- and future hippies and the hopelessly unhip.
