Synopsis
Set in Harlem a story of romance and retribution which centers on the adventures of Curtis, a small-time hustler, and Tracy, a rookie cop. Once high school sweethearts, Curtis and Tracy find themselves on opposite sides of the street. However, their fate crisscross when Curtis and his friends hijack a patrol car out from under two cops, one of whom is Tracy. After realizing who he humiliated, Curtis tries to regain her respect and love. However, word of Curtis' stunt reaches Jamal, the leader of a black-power movement specializing in kidnapping rich white executives and giving the ransom money to the poor. Tensions begin to rise when Curtis refuses to join Jamal's group while Tracy falls back in love with Curtis, despite her being a cop and her marriage to another man.
