Synopsis

This raucous, intimate documentary about Brooklyn's street-basketball culture follows Kenny's Kings, the Bed-Stuy dream team, as its winning streak carries it all the way to the finals of the legendary Soul in the Hole tournament. However the film is about more than the game; the emotional focus is the relationship between the coach and his star guard--18-year-old legend Ed "Booger" Smith who is as charismatic as he is emotionally troubled. Thrown out by his mother, Booger is recused from the tough city streets by his surrogate father Jones.
