Synopsis

Dorine is a copy editor at a computer trade magazine that is in the process of downsizing. Budget cuts and her Machiavellian editrix, Virginia, force her to work at home. E-mail serves as Dorine's only link between her house, where she cares for her sick mother, and the office, her only connection to the the real world. Due to a tortured childhood and her distress at working by herself, she begins killing off her co-workers. Fooling everyone, she manages to elicit sympathy from Virginia's right-hand, Norah, who unknowingly feeds into Dorine's psychosis. Kim, an editorial assistant, is the only one who suspects Dorine, after the mysterious disappearance of her editor boss/lover.
