Synopsis
Insistent on conveying the realities of the scars left by the Holocaust, not only on survivors, but on their apparently unscathed offspring, this drama describes how a family of Jewish immigrants leaves postwar Germany to settle in small-town Norway. The story follows a nine-year-old who strives to understand who he is and what his religious background means now that he's been transplanted to a whole new world.
