Synopsis
Story of the 1920 Nobel Prize-winning novelist Knut Hamsun--best known for his novels "Hunger" (1890) and "Growth of the Soil (1917, for which he won the Nobel)--a Norwegian hero whose stature rivaled Dostoyevsky, but who shocked the world when he became the only major European artist to side with the Nazis during World War II.
