Brief Synopsis

A world-weary and sloppy drunk, Sam succumbs to the temporary solace of Anna, a mysterious woman with whom he shares sultry nights on the streets. But as their passion mounts, his health declines and his hangovers take on an hallucinogenic horror. Slowly, he becomes convinced that Anna is a vampire.

Larry Fessenden originally conceived "Habit" as a 70-minute video in 1981 while an undergraduate at New York University film school. After graduating from NYU in 1985, Fessenden formed Glass Eye Pix, a production company which now specializes in editing.

Larry Fessenden received the Swatch Someone to Watch Award at the 1997 Independent Spirit Awards. Presented annually to a filmmaker "whose work demonstrates exceptional talent, dedication and unique vision," the prize includes a $20,000 production grant.
