Synopsis

Trapped, working in the factory where their father has spent all his life, brothers Eddie and Terry Dolan dream of different escapes. Eddie, back home after serving a short prison term, returns to his after-hours life of dragstrip racing, where speed and risk provide the exhilaration he cannot find otherwise. Terry dreams only of material comfort and domestic stability with his wife Janey, and their new baby. When Eddie starts working the night shift, he finds himself spending the hot summer days with his brother's young wife. Though Eddie and Janey fight their mutual attraction, they soon become embroiled in a dangerous romantic triangle. Family loyalty, betrayal and revenge all spiral toward a shattering conclusion.
