Synopsis

Alexandre is a famous writer who still lives in the house by the sea in Thessaloniki where he grew up. Lately, however, the house has become structurally unsound and his son-in-law has decided to sell. Alexandre has to move out because he is seriously ill but is worried that once he checks into a hospital, he may never leave. He has a few regrets, but mostly he regrets that he never completed any task to his own satisfaction. On the way to find a home for his dog, he runs into a little boy who is one of thousands of illegal immigrants from Albania. He rescues the child from a gang and sets out to send the child home to his grandmother, unaware that the child has lied and she doesn't exist.
