Synopsis

The small town of Villaserena has no electricity, but plenty of drama. Many years ago Ruperto, the richest man in town, lost his wife to a handsome actor and was left with their illegitimate daughter Celeste. Though Celeste has now grown up into a beautiful young woman, Ruperto still holds a grudge upon his philandering wife and takes his anger out on Celeste, imprisoning her in their hacienda -- until a young entrepreneur named Abelardo strolls into town and sets up a radio station that lures Ruperto and the rest of the town into a slick money-making scheme.
