Synopsis
Anita is a babymother -- a single mother in a black neighborhood of London -- who's got style, energy, attitude and a burning desire to become the local dancehall diva. Her babyfather Byron is a local reggae star, with his own ambitions, and isn't helping much, along with the rest of the men in the dancehall scene. So she gets together with girlfriends Sharon and Yvette to form a girl group. Her personal life gets confusing though when her mother dies and her sister reveals that she is, in fact, her real mother.
