Synopsis

Director Bruno de Almeida has previously made three films about diva Amalia Rodrigues, including "Amalia, Live in New York City" (USA/1990), "Amalia-Expo '98" (Portugal/1998) and "Amalia, A Strange Way of Life", a 300 minute 5-part mini-series which aired on Portugese and French television.

Songstress Amalia Rodrigues died in October 1999, one week before the completion of "The Art of Amalia".
