Synopsis
A tale of two men and a woman living through an era of uncertainty, China in the 1930s. Theater owner's daughter Ying'er, her cellist fiance who just returned from the U.S. Shaodong and Peking Opera star Lin Chung all meet. Shaodong is charmed by Lin Chung after hearing his singing, and Ying'er must eventually surrender her fiancee to the opera singer.
