Synopsis
Pauline is a mentally handicapped woman who lives with her sister Martha in Belgium. When Martha dies, the family inheritance requires that one of her other sisters, Cecile or Paulette, take Pauline in. When Pauline proves too much of a nuisance for Cecile in Brussels, she resorts to staying with Paulette, whose self-absorption limits her ability to see just what happiness means to Pauline.
