Synopsis
The Bill Johnson story follows the fortunes of a tough, street-smart skiier from Oregon who put his scrapes with the law behind him and emerged a Gold Medalist at the 1984 Winter Olympics at Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. Anthony Edwards, one of filmdom's self-styled "brat pack" of the early '80s, is Johnson, Dennis Weaver is his dad, and soap star Wayne Northrop is his Olympic coach. Initially, this film was to have been titled "Guts and Glory: The Bill Johnson Story."
