Nine members of the original cast of TV's "Peyton Place" (1964-69) were reunited to reprise their original roles when Megan MacKenzie turns up in town on the twentieth anniversary of her mother Allison's (Mia Farrow in the original series) disappearance just before her wedding to Rodney Harrington (Ryan O'Neal in the series). Publicity surrounding this film ignored the existance of "Murder in Peyton Place," the 1977 TV-movie that also brought back most of the original cast to determine whodunit -- murdered Allison and Rodney. Repeating their series roles in the 1985 film: Dorothy Malone, Barbara Parkins, Tim O'Connor, Ed Nelson, Pat Morrow, Evelyn Scott, Ruth Warrick, James Douglas, and Christopher Connelly.
