Synopsis
Based on the true story of the USS "Indianapolis," which was given the secret mission of carrying the vital parts of the A-bomb across the Pacific during World War II. On its return, the ship was sunk by a Japanese submarine, resulting in the Navy's greatest sea disaster. The Navy delayed a rescue because of the top-secret nature of the ship's mission. A Pentagon scandal ensued and the Captain of the "Indianapolis" was later court-martialed for losing a ship in battle.
