Synopsis
Victoria Riddler barely ekes out a living on a drought-stricken farm in Indiana with her 16-year-old wheelchair-bound son Elias. Their lives change when Elias experiences visions of bountiful cornfields and a way to escape the devastation. Washed-up drinker George Brenner befriends the Riddlers and attempts to convince the townspeople that this healing force can rescue them all. But it may be too late, as local bank official Peter Morley begins foreclosing on farms and evicting the local community members while attempting to romance Victoria Riddler.
