Synopsis

Five liberal Iowa graduate students want to make a difference in the world. But when they're put to the test, like most liberals, they are really a whole lot of talk and very little action. Until one stormy night. An unexpected encounter launches the group into a lively series of weekly dinner parties to see how the other half thinks. Each week a carefully chosen, politically controversial dinner guest is invited to break bread and exchange his or her thoughts on current affairs. Regardless of the conversation, the repast is always delightful, delectable and deadly--with tomatoes picked fresh from the shockingly fertile back yard.
