Synopsis

A retelling of the fairytale "The Frog Prince." On the eve of his marriage to Princess Gwendolyn, Prince John finds himself in a compromising situation with a damsel in distress. As punishment, he and his squire, Rodney, are turned into frogs for all eternity, or until the prince can convince a maiden to kiss him in his form as a frog and then marry him when he reverts to human form. After centuries on the pond, the frogs are accidentally transported to New York's Central Park, where the frog/prince gets his kiss from Margo Stockard, a Broadway diva. In a playful moment, she plants a kiss on the lips of the princely toad and tosses him back in the lake. He and Rodney emerge from the lake in human form, but staying that way won't be easy. In order to break the curse forever, he must find Margo and convince her to marry him before the next full moon.

Engaging the services of streetwise Kate, a hansom cab driver, John and Rodney go in search of Margo. Mistaken for a Shakepearean actor, John is asked to star opposite his salvation, Margo. Meanwhile, Rodney finds his own princess in Margo's spunky wardrobe mistress, Serena. But as the full moon approaches, John discovers that it's Kate who has won his heart. Even with the curse looming, he decides to follow it and accept whatever the fates have in store.
