Synopsis

Iron Eyes, a medicine man, foments discontent among his people during the early 1880s. Young Lieut. Tim Marshall arrests him, following a knife duel in which both are wounded and from which Tim is saved by Chief Fearless Eagle (White Hawk?), a friend of the whites. Tim meets Polly, daughter of Major Hopkins, picking flowers outside the fort, and forces her to return to safety. Meanwhile, Iron Eyes escapes from the guardhouse and vows vengeance on the whites. At a dance, where Tim declares his love for Polly, a wounded messenger arrives telling of his escape from Iron Eyes. Major Hopkins then delivers an ultimatum to Fearless Eagle: unless Iron Eyes is delivered up in twenty-four hours, American troops will destroy his tribe. Iron Eyes stages an attack on the fort, but Tim escapes and persuades Fearless Eagle to rout the attackers and save the women and children of the garrison.
