PRIVATE SCREENINGS: Betty Hutton (2000) is an intimate, hour-long interview with actress/singer Betty Hutton and marked her first television appearance in 20 years.
Fans knew her as "The Blonde Bombshell" and in her heyday, Hutton was as well known as stars like Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe. During her career, she starred in 20 films, performed on Broadway, made several records and had her own TV show, but by the 1970's, she had dropped completely out of public view. Her whereabouts remained a mystery until 1974 when she was rediscovered living a humble life in a Catholic rectory in Rhode Island.
