Synopsis
Al Whitcomb, a poor boy who grew up in the slums, began his career folding newspapers. When he is a reporter, he falls in love with Vera Worth, the society editor, unaware that the rent on her apartment is being paid by the newspaper's owner. While visiting her, Al kills the owner in self-defense, but Vera perjures herself at the trial to protect her reputation. However, she later tells the court the truth, thereby freeing Al.
