Synopsis

June, a poor orphan, is adopted by the aging Tutwilers but soon meets and secretly marries Perry Bascom, who is running for Congress against Ben Boone. Sue Eudaly, already married when she wed Perry, claims that Perry is her husband, although she and Boone become increasingly attracted to each other. Perry leaves town seeking Sue's real husband and during his absence, June has Perry's baby and is turned out of the Tutwiler's home. When Perry returns, Sue and Boone attempt to kill him in a sawmill, but June saves him from the revolving saw at the last moment. June is revealed both as Perry's wife and as the Tutwiler's granddaughter, which reunites the Tutwiler and Bascom families.

Notes

According to reviews, this film contained subtitles printed on stills of action. The Motion Picture Magazine reviewer complained that "these are very offensive to our artistically trained eyes and seem to interrupt the action rather than facilitate it..."
