Synopsis

Two brothers are separated in childhood by renegades who kidnap one of them during an attack on a wagon train. Jim Lockheart remains with his mother and becomes a Texas Ranger; Billy becomes the most desperate bandit in the Southwest--"The Solitaire Kid." Jim trails the Kid, and they discover (from similar tattoos) that they are brothers. The Kid is fatally wounded while protecting Jim from a bush fire, and he dies in Jim's arms with his mother nearby. Jim's sweetheart, Betty Dallas, misled at first by the tattoo into thinking that Jim is "The Solitaire Kid," later sees her mistake.
