Synopsis
Cowboys Breezy Larkin, Happy and Pancake are riding the trail when they befriend orphan Buddy Wright and his dog Tuffy. At Mag's cafe, they run into Dan and Rattler, two outlaws who use Mag to fence their stolen goods. When Dan is rude to Mary Davis, the kind-hearted waitress, Breezy fights with him. Mag demands payment for the damages and Dan gives her a gold nugget. Breezy, curious about the gold, rents a room from Mary. He puts Buddy to bed and tries to win Mary's affection by serenading her, but Happy actually does the singing. Dan and Rattler plot to spread a false rumor about a gold strike, but Breezy and his friends follow the outlaws to an abandoned mine only to discover that there really is gold in the wall of the powder room. Breezy files a claim, while Dan and Rattler start a gold rush, planning to cheat the greedy prospectors. When Dan and Rattler learn that the gold actually exists, they hold Happy and Mary hostage, questioning them for the exact location of the ore. Breezy returns, saves Happy and Mary, and with Tuffy's help, locks Dan and his gang in the mine. Breezy then sets off the explosives in the powder room, killing the gang and reveals that he placed the claim not only for himself, but for Mary and Buddy as well.
