Synopsis

Tim Malloy is about to finish a cattle roundup when rancher Clay Stevens hires some rustlers to steal his animals and frame a group of nesters as the thieves. As a result, McCabe, Tim's boss, joins Stevens in a range war against the homesteaders. Tim quits his job and sides with the nesters, even though he is jeopardizing his relationship with McCabe's daughter Jane. Tim soon learns that Stevens sold the nesters their land and is driving them off so that he can re-claim their ranches when their loans default. During a raid, Tim's friend, Jocquin Ortega, is killed and Tim organizes the nesters. In retaliation, Stevens hires a wanted man named Tex Ravelle, who is Tim's look-alike, to take Tim's place and lead the nesters into a death trap. Tim, however, outwits his captors, kills Tex and, following a bloody gun battle, shoots Stevens. McCabe, who now realizes Stevens' evil scheme, pays Tim and the small ranchers for their losses, and Tim asks Jane to marry him.
