Synopsis

Larry, an Englishman of noble birth, comes to the aid of three French modistes--Charmaine, Madelon, and Diane-- when their landlord is about to evict them for not paying the rent; but a misunderstanding arises, and they are all sent to jail. There Larry meets Owly and Yank, two American ex-servicemen who have remained in France after the war. Together, they manage to escape and go to Larry's estate where the Earl of Ippleton, Larry's uncle, becomes infatuated with Charmaine and, thinking that Larry has been untrue to her, plans to marry her. But it develops that the earl has used Larry's name to cover his own indiscretions, and Larry claims Charmaine as his own.
