Synopsis
The first in a network TV cycle of Agatha Christie movies by producers David L. Wolper and Stan Margulies, this version of Dame Agatha's "Easy to Kill" brings together veteran actress Helen Hayes and Olivia de Havilland (although they share no scenes) -- the former playing a dotty old country lady en route to London to reveal to Scotland Yard the name of the killer of three victims in her village of Wychwood only to become the victim of a hit-and-run driver as she steps off the train; the latter, a long-time friend of hers who becomes one of the suspects in her death. Bill Bixby is an American tourist who investigates the Wychwood murders. An Emmy Award went to the film's costume designer.
