Synopsis

CIA agent Stacey is murdered in Saigon while attempting to deliver a message to the U. S. Embassy. Another agent, Mark Andrews, is sent to investigate. He poses as an agriculture professor, and after being briefed in Hong Kong by Denise, a French agent, he heads for Saigon. There he is greeted by Professor Yen of the university. He also meets his contact, Kim-chinh, who informs Mark that Yen is one of a group of terrorists who plan to assassinate the American ambassador by injecting cyanide gas into the embassy's air-conditioning system. Mark is kidnaped by Yen, but a daring escape, concluding with Yen's death, leads Mark back to his hotel. There he learns that Denise is a double agent and that her information has led him into a trap set by terrorist leader Decker. He arrives at the embassy in time to save the ambassador and overcomes Decker in a fight to the death.
