Grand Slammed

Mikey is an aspiring Major Leaguer whose chances at pro ball are slipping away. Nevertheless, his father, Bobby, a disgruntled construction worker battling alcoholism, is not giving up on him. But after throwing a wild pitch in front of a scout, Mikey becomes disillusioned with baseball and ends up at a local Bronx bar. After a night of drinking, Mikey finds himself in the driver's seat of the getaway car after an attempted murder. Shaken and unaware of the outcome, Mikey enlists the help of Howie, an old acquaintance who is now a lawyer, but soon Mikey starts to suspect that Howie may have his own agenda. Betrayal comes to light and violence explodes. With his one last shot at pro ball, Mikey must contain his rage and focus on escaping his father's fate, because, if he fails, he will almost certainly be doomed to repeat it.
