Miscellaneous Notes

Based on the second part of the unfinished novel "Suite Francaise" written by Holocaust victim Irene Nemirovsky and published posthumously by Knopf on April 11, 2006. The novel was originally written from 1941 to 1942, but the manuscript was not discovered by her family until sixty years later. The manuscript was a work in progress. Nemirovsky, a Jew, was taken to Auschwitz in 1942 where she died, and her journal revealed that the original manuscript was only a first draft and that she planned to revise the storyline.
