Miscellaneous Notes

MTV originally developed the project as a two hour television movie in 2002, but changed course in 2004 to develop the project as a feature film. The project was eventually put into turnaround. When Winter decided to approach the subject in a documentary format, he pitched it to VH1, which produced it as part of its VH1 Rock Docs franchise.
