Jean Anderson, Donald Pleasence, Richard Williams, Maureen Pryor, Andrew Keir. Donald Pleasence is perhaps too believable as a cruel father who disapproves of his son's friendship with a St. Bernard and takes great pains to separate them. This rather grim variation on the oft-told tale of a boy and his dog has more in common with Charles Dickens than with Lassie.
