Synopsis
After Dr. Ward Jones is assassinated while investigating underworld organization THANATOS, Neil Connery, a plastic surgeon, hypnotist, archer, and lip reader, is recruited by the secret service. By hypnotizing Mildred, mistress to THANATOS kingpin Thair, the doctor discovers the whereabouts of Yachuco, Jones' missing girl friend, whom he rescues. The grateful victim reveals that Thair plans a universal power failure, through which THANATOS will blackmail the world. Alarmed, Connery begins a desperate search for the syndicate's headquarters. In Tetuán he discovers a carpet factory staffed by blind workers, in which are woven radioactive rugs. Accompanied by former THANATOS agent Maya, Connery penetrates the organization's palatial Bavarian headquarters. In retaliation Thair activates the power shortage and in so doing neutralizes his own weapons, thereby enabling Maya and a team of Scottish archers to decimate THANATOS. When secret service commander Cunningham presses Connery to remain in his employ, the surgeon hypnotizes the chief, thereby declining the invitation.
