Synopsis

A cargo junk carrying a deadly load of nitroglycerin is beached on an island near Hong Kong. The villagers claim it as their own by right of salvage, but the junk's owner, feudal baron Patrai, threatens to blow up the island if his cargo is not returned within 3 days. Despite Patrai's blockade of the harbor, village chief Win Lim manages to escape with two other villagers to enlist aid in Hong Kong. They appeal to Rick, an adventurer willing to do anything for the right price, and he agrees to help them transport the cargo to Hong Kong, both for the gold they offer and also because he is moved by the plight of the islanders, particularly a young woman named Tisa. While Patrai is kidnaping Win Lim and his companions, Rick formulates a plan to penetrate the blockade and load the explosives onto a junk. He is assisted by karate experts Ian and Jimmie, tourist guide Vigo, and the villagers. Rick first rescues Win Lim, then outwits Patrai after having appeared to cooperate with the efforts of the unscrupulous tycoon to bribe him. Most of Patrai's henchmen are killed in a final battle, during which Rick successfully transports the explosives, but the villainous Patrai indicates that he bears the adventurer no grudge.
