Synopsis

Roland Farwell Francis, a timid silk salesman, is sought after by the ladies, who think him a likely choice for the altar. Ann Winton, when she is dared by her brother-in-law, Weeks Twombly, invites the salesman to dinner and a night on the town in Greenwich Village. After several entanglements with his pursuers and their boyfriends, Francis finally becomes aggressive, is promoted to assistant buyer, and wins the hand of Ann Winton.
