Biography
Former president and CEO of ESPN, the all-sports cable network, Grimes later held a similar position with the Spanish-language network and broadcast Univision before joining Multimedia Inc. in 1991. An organization which includes 61 newspapers, five TV and eight radio stations, and over 100 cable franchises, the South-Carolina based company also includes Multimedia Entertainment ("Donahue," "Sally Jessy Raphael"). In 1992, after less than a year with Multimedia, Grimes was tapped to be president and CEO. He later went on to serve as CEO of a media buying service, Zenith Media USA before being named the chairman of the board of directors of Netcast Communications, a multimedia online entertainment network launched in October 1996.
