Maurice Kaufmann rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Kaufmann found his beginnings in film with roles in the Donald Sinden comedy "An Alligator Named Daisy" (1957), the dramatic adaptation "Fire Down Below" (1957) with Rita Hayworth and the sci-fi motion picture "The Giant Behemoth" (1959) with Gene Evans. Later, Kaufmann acted in the comedy "The Man Without a Body" (1959) with Robert Hutton, "A Shot in the Dark" (1964) and the Tallulah Bankhead adaptation "Die! Die! My Darling!" (1965). He also appeared in "Bloomfield" (1971) and "Fright" (1971) with Susan George. Later in his career, Kaufmann appeared in "The Next Victim" (ABC, 1975-76).
