Biography
Bobby Bare worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Johnny Cash: The First 25 Years" (CBS, 1979-1980) and "Country Comes Home" (CBS, 1980-81). He also acted in various movies at the time, including "A Distant Trumpet" (1964) with Troy Donahue. Bare also contributed music to the Kurt Russell comedy "Used Cars" (1980). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Country Music Legends" (PBS, 1986-87) and "America's Music: The Roots of Country" (TBS, 1995-96). Bare's music was most recently featured in the comedy "Are You Here" (2014) with Owen Wilson. Bare had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties, including "Grosse Pointe Blank" (1997), "Ryman Country Homecoming" (The Nashville Network, 1999-2000) and "Ryman Country Homecoming III" (The Nashville Network, 1999-2000).
