Biography
Laurie Ann Gibson worked on a variety of projects during her entertainment career. At the beginning of her acting career, Gibson was featured in dramas like "Sing" (1989), "Malcolm X" (1992) with Denzel Washington and the Jessica Alba film "Honey" (2003). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including parts on "In Living Color" (Fox, 1989-1994) and "Herman's Head" (Fox, 1991-94). In the early 2000s and the 2010s, Gibson devoted her time to various credits, such as "Making the Band III" "P Diddy's Starmaker" (MTV, 2008-09) and "Skating with the Stars" (ABC, 2010-11). More recently, she tackled roles on "The Dance Scene" (E! Networks, 2010-11) and "Born to Dance: Laurieann Gibson" (BET, 2011-12). She also acted in films like the drama sequel "Honey 2" (2011) with Katerina Graham and the romance "Beyond the Lights" (2014) with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Most recently, Gibson worked on "Fake-Off" (truTV, 2014-).
